Mt. Vernon Square has reported a fire that destroyed apartments and displaced residents. The ANC Barbara Custis is working with the Red Cross, so we’ll wait to hear how the community can reach out and help the families displaced.

It takes you about half a second to see that the building in question has been completely gutted, in case you somehow managed to miss the caution tape strung everywhere.
Also see the Firefighter’s site http://dcfd.com/ for pix of the fire. There is the building, and it is on fire. Also DCFD is low on BS…. just wish they had bookmarks and permalinks.
