A memorial is being built in Washington, DC to honor the Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.’s legacy of democracy, justice, hope and love on the National Mall. In this regard, a ceremonial groundbreaking is taking place this coming Monday, November 13, 2006, between 9:00 a.m. and Noon, on the National Mall (i.e., Independence Avenue and West Basin Drive — adjacent to the Franklin Delano Roosevelt Memorial).
